Palm Trees, Fertilization, Emergency Clean Up, Cavity Treatment
We can prune your palm tree to remove unsightly brown, dead fronds and loose petioles. Mexican Fan Palms are common to the Bay Area, and need regular pruning. Flower and fruit stalks attract rodents, and can also be removed. The appearance of many species of palm is improved by cleaning the trunk.
Stunted growth, leaf discoloration and mottling all could be signs of mineral deficiencies in the soil. In the Bay Area, the most common deficiencies are nitrogen, potassium, magnesium and phosphorus. At One Two Tree Care we can diagnose problems and provide a fertilization program that will restort your trees back to health. Most often we use a system for deep root feeding that allows us to inject the nutrients directly into the soil where the roots are located.
We also offer emergency tree clean up service. Call us at any time, at (877) 720-8733. In cases of emergency, if we are contacted during the night, we can usually get a crew out the following morning.
Tree cavities can collect water that promotes rot, and host decay-causing fungi. Years ago it was common to fill cavities with cement, but that is no longer recommended. Sometimes the best treatment is to leave cavities to the tree's natural defenses. But in some cases treatment is beneficial to prevent the accumulation of water, repel ants and other pests, and retard fungus development. Call us for a free consultation.
